  • 1.NBT.A.1 Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
  • 2.NBT.A.2 Count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s.

Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • MA.K.5.A Algebraic reasoning. The student applies mathematical process standards to identify the pattern in the number word list. The student is expected to: recite numbers up to at least 100 by ones and tens beginning with any given number.
  • MA.1.5.A Algebraic reasoning. The student applies mathematical process standards to identify and apply number patterns within properties of numbers and operations in order to describe relationships. The student is expected to: recite numbers forward and backward from any given number between 1 and 120;
  • MA.1.5.B Algebraic reasoning. The student applies mathematical process standards to identify and apply number patterns within properties of numbers and operations in order to describe relationships. The student is expected to: skip count by twos, fives, and tens to determine the total number of objects up to 120 in a set;

Virginia Standards of Learning

  • NS.K.3.a The student will count forward orally by ones from 0 to 100;
  • NS.K.3.c The student will identify the number after, without counting, when given any number between 0 and 100 and identify the number before, without counting, when given any number between 1 and 10; and
  • NS.1.1.a The student will count forward orally by ones to 110, starting at any number between 0 and 110;
  • NS.1.1.d The student will count forward orally by ones, twos, fives, and tens to determine the total number of objects to 110.
  • NS.2.1.c The student will compare and order whole numbers between 0 and 999; and
